Job Description

We are seeking an Appian Developer for a hybrid role (3-4 days a week onsite) in Austin, TX or Lone Tree, CO The Appian Developer will collaborate with the development team to achieve goals set for each Agile Sprint, working closely with Business System Analysts (BSAs) to understand and deliver software requirements with a focus on quality and detail. This role involves interfacing with functional experts from Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Supervision & Controls (S&C), and the internal management team at our financial client.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the Development Team to develop software solutions on the Appian platform.
  • Create and implement innovative technical solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Partner with the Technology Team to create and validate solutions.

Required Skills:

  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field/degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in building and delivering Appian software solutions.
  • Expertise in Appian application architecture and designing end-to-end solutions.
  • Experience with Appian cloud (preferred).
  • Ability to monitor and identify risks from Appian health checks.
  • Translating business process software requirement specifications into prototypes and solutions.
  • Knowledge of software testing practices.
  • Experience designing data schemas and models.
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL (preferred).
  • Experience developing integrations using APIs.
  • Familiarity with agile software development practices.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft .NET (specifically C#) and other related web technologies.
  • SQL experience and familiarity with the Microsoft SQL Server Platform.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) practices and their benefits.
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools for Agile project/code management (BitBucket, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence).
