Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from The University Club of Palo Alto We’re looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the work, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and has a team-oriented, “roll up your sleeves” approach. The University Club of Palo Alto is seeking a skilled, hands‑on Facilities Technician/Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day maintenance and upkeep of our Club property. This hybrid role combines performing maintenance and repair work directly with supervising a small facilities team of two groundskeepers and two housekeepers. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Club’s buildings, facilities, and equipment. Oversee and support the daily work of two groundskeepers and two housekeepers, ensuring quality standards and efficient scheduling. Handle basic plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC troubleshooting, and minor carpentry or painting projects. Coordinate vendor visits and small‑scale projects as needed (e.g., pool maintenance, landscaping, janitorial supplies). Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs. Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and assist with ordering and cost tracking. Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and Club operational standards. Work collaboratively with the General Manager and department heads to support Club events and operational needs. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in general building maintenance, facilities, or a similar hands‑on role. Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to lead and motivate a small team. Strong practical skills in one or more trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, etc.). Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. Able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain a professional, service‑oriented attitude. Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Spanish speaking is preferred. This is a full‑time, on‑site position.
