Description : DBV Technologies is a global clinical stage biopharmaceutical company on a mission to develop treatment options for food allergies and immunologic diseases with significant unmet medical need using our innovative epicutaneous immunotherapy technology platform, Viaskin® Patch. DBV is currently focused on exploring the use of the Viaskin® Patch to re-educate the immune system of pediatric patients with peanut allergy, a devastating condition that afflicts millions of patients. As an important milestone in our journey, we hope to offer the first epicutaneous immunotherapy treatment for peanut allergy. Future research will continue to explore the broad applications of this potential new class of immunotherapy. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-facing representative of DBV Technologies Medical Affairs with a primary responsibility of building and maintaining relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to support the medical and scientific needs of the company’s products. The MSL will engage in the exchange of scientific data and/or other medical and clinical information with external stakeholders (to include HCPs/KOLs, researchers, and regional professional organization leadership). The person in this position will demonstrate a thorough understanding of the customer’s needs, issues, and priorities as they relate to DBV Technologies’ strategic business plan. This role involves providing medical education, supporting clinical trials, and gathering relevant insights from the field on research developments, treatment landscape, and new concepts in medical treatment. The MSL/ is crucial in ensuring that the company’s products are understood and utilized effectively in the medical community. Location : Seattle, Washington DC Salary Range : 120-200K Key Responsibilities : Establish and Maintain Relationships with KOLs/HCPs: Identify, develop, and manage professional relationships with KOLs, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Educate KOLs & HCPs: Provide educational information and updates to KOLs/HCPs, tailoring content to their needs. Scientific Engagement: Accurately and compliantly interpret and disseminate balanced and factual scientific, clinical, and health economic data. Present scientific data at meetings, conferences, and educational sessions, ensuring clarity and engagement. Gather Insights: Collect and report on insights from KOLs and HCPs to guide company/medical strategy, utilizing advanced analytics tools. Gather and report on competitive intelligence from the field, providing strategic insights to the organization on areas of therapeutic interest. Provide Input for Medical Strategy: Share field insights to inform the development of medical strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives Respond to Medical Information Requests (MIR): Provide responses to unsolicited medical inquiries from the healthcare community, ensuring timely and accurate information. Training and Supporting Sales Force: Collaborate with the sales team to provide scientific training and support, ensuring they are well-equipped to communicate product information Support Company-Sponsored Research/Trials: Coordinate and support clinical trials and other research activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Support Investigator-Led Research (IITs, ISTs): Provide support for investigator-led research projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Qualifications : A doctorate in a health science or clinical discipline is strongly preferred (MD/DO, PharmD, Nurse Practitioner, PhD or related), however, significant clinical and/or industry experience in relevant therapeutic areas may be accepted in lieu of education requirements3+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry/clinical pharmacist/research/ related experience in a scientific or clinical setting, MSL experience preferred.Strong broad-based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge, with allergy/immunology and pediatric experience strongly preferred.Clinical trial development and drug launch experience is strongly preferred.Knowledge of clinical research processes, FDA regulations and OIG guidelines are requiredExcellent presentation and teaching skillsStrong overall written and verbal communication skillsAbility to assess issues and think strategicallyAbility and experience working cross-functionallyAbility to anticipate, organize, plan and handle multiple changing prioritiesAbility to work independently and not requiring close supervision while adhering to Medical Affairs strategic directionAbility and interest in leading and participating in projects while effectively balancing projects with field workAbility to analyze complex situations and proactively identify opportunities/issues; effectively solve problems that cross functional boundariesSound computer skills, including applications for word processing, producing slide materials, and working with spreadsheetsCapable of engaging in frequent business travel (approximately 50-75% of time), to include air travel, ability to travel overnight and on weekends.Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s licenseThis is a field-based position; the employee is required to set up a home-based office.
