This person will be in a data center with AWS Direct Connect and HPC responsibilities focuses on designing and maintaining hybrid connectivity between on-prem infrastructure and AWS. Daily tasks include validating Direct Connect circuits, optimizing low-latency networking for HPC clusters, and ensuring security through encryption and firewall policies. The role involves collaborating with cloud and HPC teams, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and updating documentation. Toward the end of the day, the architect researches emerging technologies like SDN and automation tools and mentors engineers to maintain best practices across hybrid environments.
