Job Overview The Department Manager at McDonald’s oversees daily restaurant operations and leads specific departments ensuring fast, accurate, and friendly service. Responsibilities Lead shifts every week, ensuring fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience. Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management; set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results. Supervise department‑specific duties: Guest Service Department Manager: Ensure crew and managers deliver great customer experience, execute sales promotions, train staff in service procedures, and keep the Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru organized for optimal service. Kitchen Department Manager: Deliver high‑quality food, maintain food safety, control food cost, and train kitchen staff in production procedures, including new menu items. People Department Manager: Hire qualified crew, train them, schedule to meet sales and profit goals, support rookie crew, and recognize and motivate staff. Work flexible schedules and maintain a positive team attitude in a fast‑paced environment. Must be 18 years or older and possess prior managerial experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting. Qualifications Preferred previous managerial experience in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with flexible schedule. Strong passion for fast‑paced McDonald’s environment. Legal age of 18 years or older to be a manager.
