Software Engineer III with Security Clearance Highbury Defense Group is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to provide software development of full‑stack web applications focused on command and control (C2) capability. Day‑to‑day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to support mission‑critical software systems that provide tools and resources for successfully planning and executing C2 missions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack web applications. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support mission‑critical software systems. Apply best practices in software engineering, CI/CD, containerization, and agile development. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics. 6+ years of full‑stack software development experience. Proficiency with object‑oriented programming languages (Java, Python, C++). Experience with UI development using modern web technologies (Node.js, React). Experience with RDBMS database design (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL). Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services (REST, AJAX, JSON). Experience with application hosting (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx). Experience with source code management (Git). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with CI/CD automation tools (Jenkins, Tekton). Experience with agile software development. Enterprise software architecture background (desired). Desired Qualifications Currently hold an active U.S. security clearance or be able to obtain one. Salary $120,000 – $155,000 (projected compensation range).
