Job Title: Specifications Specialist

Location: Wisconsin Dells, WI

Reports To: Vice President Operations


Full Time/ Direct Hire


Summary:

This role involves preparing and managing project specifications, maintaining master specifications, and ensuring effective specification delivery to meet client needs. The position also includes modifying specifications for individual projects and managing resource libraries.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop project manuals and specifications according to schedule.
  • Interpret design plans to prepare material lists and specifications.
  • Modify and compile architectural specifications.
  • Coordinate with staff to determine suitable specifications.
  • Maintain master specifications and product information.
  • Update and manage specification changes and resources.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in architecture, engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years as an architectural specifications writer, with experience in building construction settings.


Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, knowledge of AIA contract documents, MasterFormat specifications, building materials, and codes.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility for occasional overtime.
