The primary role of the successful candidate will be to design, transfer and develop automated ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion) screening and quantitative measurement assays. The individual will be responsible to collaborate with scientists, troubleshoot automation related issues and train end users to operate automation with proficiency.The successful candidate will have a proven track record to develop, optimize and execute various drug metabolism assays on various automation platforms. The candidate should be current on state-of-the art technologies and champion the evaluation of new technologies and optimization of processes. Providing leadership and mentorship to junior staff, building relationships with stakeholders, and providing expert technical representation on multidisciplinary teams will be expected.**Responsibilities:*** Design & operate robotic systems to validate, optimize and execute various vaccine program clinical assays on various automation platforms in a regulated environment* Method development, qualification/validation, troubleshooting. Support of pre-clinical sample analysis as needed.* Serve as a subject matter expert on developed assays, providing technical support as needed to internal laboratories working to implement assays.* Communicate results effectively in presentations to stakeholders in partner organizations or at external scientific meetings, and to participate on cross-functional teams**Qualifications:****Education**:* Bachelor’s (with 10+ years), Master’s (with 6+ years) or Ph.D. (with 3+ years) in Engineering, Automated Sciences, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field and scientific expertise with laboratory equipment in the development and execution of biological and chemical assays**Required Experience and Skills:*** Extensive practical experience in serology and cell-based screening assays, including sample preparation, with direct operation of multiple detector platforms such as LC-MS, Meso Scale Discovery and SpectraMax* Experience with laboratory automation schedulers such as Cellario, Green Button Go or Momentum* Collaborative leader functioning in a matrix organization: mentor, and inspire scientists at various levels; encourages curiosity in others and challenges the status quo to foster innovation, well-developed decision-making skills that thinks broadly across development programs* Ability to independently analyze and interpret experimental data and to present and discuss results within a multi-disciplinary team environment* Demonstrated ability to apply techniques ensuring precision and accuracy in liquid transfer volumes across diverse laboratory instrumentation**Preferred Experience and Skills:*** Green Button Go automation is preferred* Knowledge of OEM instrument platforms typical of biology, biochemistry or chemistry laboratory workflows* Experience with liquid handlers, preferably with Hamilton* Experience with scripting/programing in one or more of the following: C#, python, JavaScript, R, R-shiny, Web development#EligibleforERP **Required Skills:**Automation Solutions, Cell-Based Assays, Computer Science, Laboratory Automation, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Method Development, Robotics, Sample Preparation Techniques**Preferred Skills:**Current Employees applyCurrent Contingent Workers apply**US and Puerto Rico Residents Only:**Our company is committed to inclusion, ensuring that candidates can engage in a hiring process that exhibits their true capabilities.
