Lead Teacher - City of Boston Responsible for assisting the Director in the overall maintenance of the pre‑school classrooms. Responsibilities Orient teachers, assistant teachers, student teachers, and volunteers to the program. Plan and lead the program at all times. Assist teachers in writing children’s progress reports, daily cleaning of the classrooms, and developing lesson plans. Supervise and evaluate teachers and assistant teachers, as reviewed by the Program Manager. Meet with parents, work with specialists, supervise teachers, develop curriculum, and assist with administrative tasks requested by the Program Manager. Minimum Entrance Qualifications At least twenty‑one (21) years of age (preferred). At least two (2) years of experience in a preschool setting. Some supervisory skills (preferred). An AA or BA in Early Childhood Education (preferred). Ability to work independently in a multi‑cultural setting. Must be an Office for Children (OFC) Lead Teacher certified. CO.R.I. and S.O.R.I. Check Required. BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED. Union/Salary Plan/Grade: SEIU/CC‑10. Hours per week: 35. Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level. Employment type: Full‑time.
