Reports To: Campus MinisterSupervises: n/aFLSA: non-exemptEffective Date: immediatelyStatus: Full Time or Part Time – HourlySTATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe Development Director is responsible for fundraising and development efforts at St. Luke University Parish, particularly in its campus ministry for students at GVSU. This position facilitates identifying and asking prospective donors, cultivating relationships with current donors, and implementing a strategic approach to annual fundraising.SPECIFIC DUTIESCreating a strategic approach for ongoing development efforts at St. Luke’sIdentifying and reaching out to potential donors to ask for supportDaily phone calls and in-person meetings with current and prospective donorsDatabase management of current, past, and prospective donorsProviding regular updates of gratitude and ongoing value to current donorsCoordinating “Giving Tuesday” and other major fundraising campaignsPlanning annual donor appreciation eventsConnecting with alumni and planning alumni reunion eventsSharing success stories through various media (newsletters, social media, etc.)Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reportsAttend monthly staff meetings and monthly finance council meetingsSKILLS & EXPERIENCEImaginative vision to create a development strategy from scratchSelf-motivated and able to achieve big goalsFamiliarity with media and email marketingComfortable with lots of relational time (phone calls or in-person meetings)Proficient with database managementSales or marketing experience requiredBachelor’s degree preferredTo Apply:Please submit your resume to z.gonring@lukespot.com along with a cover letter answering the question “Why should someone invest in college Campus Ministry?”Job FeaturesJob Category: ParishesApply For This JobDO NOT USE the 'attach resume' feature below.
