They take pride in creating an environment that values hard work, accountability, and professional development.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a senior-level Solutions Architect role with a clear career progression path (Solutions Architect to Senior Architect to Enterprise Architect to Principal Architect). The architect will play a critical role in driving enterprise-wide application consolidation initiatives, supporting process enhancements, and delivering scalable solutions. The role demands a strong background in solution design, fit-gap analysis, and trade-off evaluation across retail, supply chain, infrastructure, or marketing technology domains.RESPONSIBILITIESDirect the identification and recommendation of solutions, upgrades, or decommissioning options with a focus on usability, productivity, and total cost of ownershipDevelop and execute solutions that minimize reactive work and maximize strategic impactCollaborate with business and IT subject matter experts to design end-to-end solutions that align with enterprise architecture standardsEngage with business leadership to establish strong IT and operations partnershipsModel solutions across conceptual, logical, and physical perspectives (N+1 views)Create architecture artifacts defining end-to-end solution context, data domains, logical, physical, and deployment viewsFacilitate requirements refinement with a focus on service-level requirementsParticipate in design reviews to ensure solution alignment and traceabilityContribute to the development of enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, and standardsClearly articulate architectural decisions to both technical and business audiencesEngage proactively with business stakeholders to ensure IT addresses immediate and future needsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field required10+ years of experience in IT management or solutions architecture3–5 years of experience designing solutions in cloud and hybrid environments3–5 years of experience with data integration patterns and toolsUnderstanding of networks and security across on-premise and cloud environmentsExperience with vendor management tools and enterprise architecture integrationKnowledge of architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman2+ implementations of enterprise-class supply chain management systems preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build consensusProven ability to balance waterfall and agile methodologiesAdvanced problem-solving and analytical skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSRetail industry or supply chain experience (merchandising, planning, logistics)Experience with enterprise-class retail COTS applicationsBackground in SOA/Microservices design2–3 years of retail industry experienceOptimization expertise, including stochastic modeling and holistic planningStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and collaboration toolsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustries: RetailReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Search Services by 2xGet notified about new Information Technology Solutions Architect jobs in Houston, TX.Houston, TX $118,000 - $160,000 5 days ago #J-18808-Ljbffr
