Workday Financials Solution Architect

We are seeking an experiencedWorkday Financials Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Workday Financials solutions. The ideal candidate will partner with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to deliver scalable, innovative, and integrated Workday Financial systems. This role requires a strong understanding of finance processes, system architecture, and Workday platform capabilities. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall solution design for Workday Financials, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices. Translate complex business requirements into Workday configurations and architecture strategies. Define end-to-end solution designs covering integrations, reporting, data conversion, and security. Implementation & Delivery Provide oversight and guidance to functional consultants, developers, and project teams during design, configuration, testing, and deployment. Ensure design consistency and compliance with Workday standards and enterprise architecture. Collaborate with integration teams on Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs, and third-party system connections. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with Finance leaders and stakeholders to understand current and future needs. Facilitate workshops and design sessions to gather requirements and present solution options. Act as a trusted advisor, guiding decision‑making on Workday Financials capabilities and enhancements. Governance & Quality Establish and maintain solution design documentation, architecture diagrams, and best practices. Ensure solution scalability, data integrity, and compliance with audit/security standards. Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and impact analysis for system changes. Core Workday Financials Areas of Expertise Banking & Cash Management Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) Expenses, Procurement, and Supplier Accounts Business Assets & Projects Financial Reporting, Consolidation, and Budgeting Data Conversion and Integrations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). 12+ years of experience in ERP Financial Systems, with at least 8+ years in Workday Financials. Strong experience as aWorkday Solution Architect across multiple full lifecycle implementations. Deep understanding of Workday Financials modules, configuration, integrations, reporting, and security. Proven ability to designend-to-end finance solutions integrating with external systems (ERP, banking, payroll, procurement). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex solutions in simple terms. Workday certifications inWorkday Financials preferred (e.g., Financials Core, FDM, Procurement, Projects). Workday Architect Certification is mandatory.
