OverviewPart‑Time Controller for Nonprofit OrganizationsYour Part‑Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a national leader in providing outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. We offer a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation, and a people‑focused culture that supports both full‑time and part‑time staff.ResponsibilitiesServe as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, guiding financial strategy and mission alignment.Prepare and present financial reports for management and board decision‑making.Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, internal controls, compliance policies, and operational practices.Perform transactional activities—accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain workpapers.Analyze data, create visualizations, and develop budgeting and forecasting models.Manage grant allocations and funder reporting.Prepare for and manage the annual audit.Provide client and staff training opportunities.QualificationsPassionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (required).5‑7+ years accounting experience.Experience working remotely preferred.Strong Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with multiple general ledger packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill‑pay systems.CPA certification is a plus.Non‑profit accounting, public accounting, or consulting experience is a plus.Bilingual – English/Spanish – is a plus.Customized cover letter explaining interest and qualifications is required.BenefitsA culture of support, enabling staff to succeed.Unlimited professional growth opportunities.Competitive compensation and 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.Hybrid work environment and technology stipend.Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance) and supplementary options for part‑time staff.Pro‑rated vacation and sick time for part‑time positions.CompensationStarting hourly rate is $50 to $65 per hour.
