Vernovis is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with prior consumer lending experience who will have responsibility for all financial functions. The responsibilities will fall into five broad functional areas: Consolidated financial planning Consolidated accounting, external reporting and financial information Traditional global treasury and financial risk management activities, including cash management and cash flow forecasting, liquidity management and insurance. Investor relations and capital markets M&A evaluation and financial structuring This senior executive role involves providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and the executive management team to ensure financial health, growth, and sustainability. What You'll Do: Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement the financial strategy of the company in alignment with business goals. Advise the CEO and executive team on strategic initiatives based on financial forecasts, growth opportunities, and industry trends. Lead financial planning processes, including long-term financial forecasts, annual budgets, and capital allocation strategies. Act as a partner to other executives in decision‑making, identifying financial risks, and ensuring optimal use of resources. Participate and lead financial evaluation on M&A opportunities. Financial Operations & Reporting Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Manage all aspects of finance operations including accounting, budgeting, tax, treasury, and investor relations. Drive the monthly and annual financial reporting processes, including preparation and presentation of financial statements. Ensure efficient financial management systems are in place for optimal data management, analysis, and reporting. Report financial results to the Board of Directors. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and that financial audits are conducted properly. Establish and maintain internal controls and policies to safeguard the company's assets and prevent financial mismanagement. Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments. Investor Relations & Capital Funding Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial institutions.
