Responsibilities Treat all clients and staff with dignity and respect Manage all phases of pre‑admission/intake services for assigned programs, including timely and accurate completion of clinical assessments Maintain efficient admissions/intake assessment procedures, ensuring appropriate referrals to program Participate with the multidisciplinary team to assess, evaluate, and determine the need for services Complete telephonic and face‑to‑face interviews with individuals presenting for admission Oversee and ensure client intake to care/transition, ensuring completion of documentation within the electronic health record system Complete all required reports for funding sources Maintain proficiency in assessment, intake and level of care protocols, utilizing the ASAM criteria Ensure accurate, up‑to‑date intake records, records of referral, and funding sources Conduct admission funding reviews with relevant payor(s) Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding, referral and regulatory agencies Other duties as assigned by the Admissions or Program Director, or designee Knowledge of regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards Knowledge and ability to work with electronic health record systems Knowledge of substance use and mental health disorder treatment programs Knowledge and skill in assessment/evaluation and intake process and procedures Ability to exercise sound judgment in developing, implementing, interpreting and evaluating program policies, procedures and regulations Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing Ability to work with clients to gain confidence and cooperation Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds Ability to plan and organize work and prepare appropriate, accurate records, and reports Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, health care providers, referral entities, outside agencies, institutions and the general public Skilled at using computers, including familiarity and faculty with Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel Qualifications Must hold a master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field with active DC independent clinical licensure (e.g., LICSW, LPC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist) Operating Principles We hold client care as our top priority.
