Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to lead our esophageal disease program. Position Highlights:

  • Focus on esophageal disease – no general GI clinics, unless desired
  • Opportunity to lead the GI aspect of an existing, regional, multidisciplinary esophageal swallowing disorders program that includes specialists from foregut surgery, thoracic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, and speech and swallow pathology
  • Oversee an existing esophageal motility lab that offers leading edge diagnostics –  includes high-resolution esophageal manometry with impedance, EndoFlip®, BRAVO® pH testing, and pH impedance testing
  • Departmental support to practice/develop/lead related programs in Barrett’s esophagus and endobariatrics, if desired.
  • Join a collegial, 23-physician, GI group comprised general GIs, hepatologists, IBD subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists
  • Excellent call schedule – shared among large GI group – currently 5 weeks/year
  • Opportunity to teach – Institution supports a strong GI fellowship (3 trainees/year) and Internal Medicine residency programs
