OverviewAtrium Health Women’s Care Department of OB/GYN is actively seeking a Urogynecologist/FPMRS physician to join our growing Urogynecology Division in Charlotte, North Carolina. The division currently consists of two gynecologically-trained urogynecologists and one urologist specializing in urogynecology, and we are recruiting for this faculty position to meet increasing regional demand.We are seeking candidates with a primary surgical focus on vaginal and laparoscopic approaches. This new faculty position will serve as Fellowship Program Director, providing leadership in education and mentorship.Division HighlightsCurrent team: 2 gynecologically trained urogynecologists + 1 urologist specializing in urogynecology, 1 PhD research assistant professorFellowship-trained providers with integrated care across Urogynecology and UrologyWell-established referral system with pelvic floor physical therapy, gastroenterology, motility, colorectal surgery specialistsTertiary referral center for high-volume, complex Urogynecology / Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery casesExcellent APP and administrative support for both clinic and surgical practiceOnsite urodynamic facilitiesEssential Responsibilities/FunctionsProvide exceptional clinical care in all aspects of Urogynecology Reconstructive Pelvic SurgeryPerform vaginal and laparoscopic surgical procedures, as well as office-based procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, Botox, urethral bulking)Participate in medical education of fellows, residents, and medical studentsLead fellowship academic / simulation curricula, Fellows’ Clinic, fellow recruitment, fellow/resident mentorship, and program development in conjunction with OBGYN residencyPosition RequirementsBoard Certification in Urogynecology Reconstructive Surgery (OB/GYN tract)Eligibility for a North Carolina Medical LicenseDemonstrated passion for clinical excellence, teaching, and teamworkProgram leadership/educational experience preferredAbout Atrium HealthAtrium Health is part of Advocate Health, the third largest non-profit health system in the country.
