Neuro Psychologist Position

West Virginia University is seeking an Assistant (or higher) Professor for clinical psychology. This position is full-time and will be primarily based out of Harpers Ferry, WV at an integrated primary care clinic. Job duties may include: transfer of care via warm handoff; curbside consultation with medical providers, individual, group, and family therapy; and teaching/supervising psychology interns, post-doctoral fellows, medical students, and medical residents. Scholarly activities are also highly encouraged. Applicant must possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree and have successfully completed an APA/CPA-accredited psychology internship training program with an emphasis in clinical psychology. A current license to practice psychology in the state of West Virginia is required by start date. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. Located on the eastern edge of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, Harpers Ferry is often referred to as the gateway to the Shenandoah Valley. Approximately 65 miles outside of Washington, DC and 70 miles outside of Baltimore, MD, Harpers Ferry balances the proximal benefits of being close to a major metropolitan area with the relaxed nature and beauty of a small town. It offers breathtaking views and beautiful scenery. Harpers Ferry is conveniently located between Maryland and Virginia, offering the ability to travel into all three states within minutes. The Eastern Panhandle of WV is located in a rich historical area, with easy access to the C&O Canal Trail, the Appalachian Trail, and Antietam National Battlefield. Further, the area is home to several recreational, cultural, and arts festivals each year, including the Apple Harvest Festival and the Leitersburg Peach Festival.
