*POSITION SUMMARY:*

To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular program.
* _*A CDL-School Bus license is required - District will train with employee commitment to work for one year*_
* _*A clean driving record is required*_
* _*DOT Medical card required*_
* *Maine Department of Education Criminal History Record Check certificate eligibility required*
* _*In accordance with state regulations, an applicant must be twenty-one years of age*_
* _*Maine Department of Education fingerprinting approval is required*_
* _*Flexible and regular runs with the possibility of hours for after school and weekend for sports trips*_

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*: _(Other duties may be assigned)_

1. Obeys all traffic laws.

2. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.

3. Maintains discipline when students are on bus.

4. Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.

5. Keeps assigned bus clean.

6. Keeps to assigned schedule.

7. Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.

8. Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.

9. Discharges students only at authorized stops.

10. Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school trips.

11. Transports only authorized students.

12. Reports all accidents and completes required reports.

13. Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $23.82 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
