Manager, Technical Infra Program Manager, Data Center Planning and Delivery

Overview AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. As part of the AWS Infrastructure organization, Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) prepares for, plans, and builds the data centers that comprise the AWS cloud. We’re looking for an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to oversee data center security build projects and lead the successful deployment and launch of physical security infrastructure programs. The role requires interaction with internal networking, design engineering, construction teams and external partners. It demands a technical PM with strong business acumen, precision communications, and a track record in tactical project management of highly technical initiatives and strategic program management. Key Responsibilities Lead cross‑functional and technical teams to drive new build projects from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis. Lead the deployment, launch, and continuous improvement of new data center builds and expansions. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions and deliver results on time. Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors. Lead continuous improvement processes to enhance physical security programs. Implement and fully document improvements and modifications related to new technologies. Qualifications 5+ years in technical security leadership roles, technical program management, or cloud infrastructure with experience in large‑scale global deployments of hardware/software. 5+ years proficiency with business/technical software and experience designing complex systems, software, and hardware, specifically in the physical security space. Engineering background (e.g., CS, CE, EE, ME, CivE) or equivalent technical experience. Strong judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent, and leadership. Ability to travel 50% to support deployment and implementation globally. Preferred Qualifications Experience building and scaling security solutions in highly technical infrastructure such as data centers. Advanced degree in a technology‑related field. Capital project management skills. Experience implementing continuous improvement methodology – LEAN, Six Sigma, ITIL, CMMI. Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $147,200/year to $254,500/year, depending on market location. Equity, sign‑on payments, and additional benefits may be provided as part of a total compensation package. This position will remain posted until filled.
