Occupational Therapist Per Diem-ESCR at Elizabeth Seton Children’s Position: Occupational Therapist Per Diem-ESCR Overview Delivery of treatment services to children ranging in ages from 0-21 years. Per Diem; hours/schedule based on the needs of the Clinic. Responsibilities Provide treatment for patients ages 0-21. Supervise student interns as directed by Manager. Conduct initial Occupational Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations. Complete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards, including daily therapy notation, progress reports with updates, rehabilitation rounds, and staff conferences. Perform other duties as assigned, such as splinting. Develop and review patient care plans in conjunction with a Physiatrist. Participate in clinical quality assurance initiatives. Provide patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation. Comply with ESCR, Inc. policies and procedures related to quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, and annual health assessments. Participate in departmental in-services and staff development activities. Qualifications Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s/Certificate in Occupational Therapy with NYS License as a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) or in process with permit. Must maintain license in good standing. Experience Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical pediatric environment.
