This position is with a small, established team based in the DFW area, offering a collaborative and relaxed work environment that fosters innovation. Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technology’s Farmer\'s Branch, TX location.United States citizenship required due to restrictions on access to certain data.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain application-level software that simulates airborne radar systems and other sensors for use in training devices. The software is written in C++ on Windows and Linux platforms.Perform tasks related to: Software DesignSoftware ImplementationTechnical DocumentationTeam CollaborationCustomer InteractionSoftware Integration and TestingTask Planning and Schedule EstimatingExperience5+ years of experience in software development using C/C++Strong understanding of real-time application programmingExpertise in cross-platform development (Windows & Linux)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong foundation in mathematics and physicsAbility to work with export-controlled technologyDesired CompetenciesTechnical ExpertiseKnowledge of radar technology and signal processingExperience with OpenGL and graphics application programmingBackground in real-time, multi-processing systemsFamiliarity with geographic data processing tools (e.g. KML, vector files, digital elevation models, satellite imagery)Developmental Tools & PracticesExperience with defect tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira)Proficiency with configuration management tools (Perforce, Git)Ability to write clear and concise technical documentationIndustry ExperiencePrior experience in training and simulation industryWillingness to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentSupervisory RequirementsNoneRequired Education, Eligibility and ExperienceB.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical fieldThis position description is not intended to be a complete listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee holding this position.
