Regional Organizing Director

The Opportunity: As a Regional Organizing Director, you are the on-the-ground leader of our grassroots movement in a key region of Wisconsin. You are responsible for building the volunteer teams, the local infrastructure, and the community relationships that will elect Democrats up and down the ballot. This is a manager-level role for a seasoned community organizer and coach who knows that elections are won by building durable, local power, one volunteer and one voter at a time. You will translate the statewide field plan into on-the-ground reality, leading your team to build a strong, inclusive, and powerful progressive presence in your communities. The Team: You will report to a Deputy Organizing Director and serve as a key strategic leader for your region. During the peak of the 2026 election cycle, you will manage, coach, and develop a team of Field Organizers. You will be the vital link between the statewide campaign strategy and the volunteers, activists, and party leaders who are the heart of our work. Job Responsibilities: Volunteer Infrastructure & Team Building Recruit, build, and develop local grassroots volunteer teams capable of executing a large-scale voter contact and volunteer-led organizing program. Implement the statewide plan to build and maintain a durable volunteer infrastructure, including volunteer-led Neighborhood Action Teams. Develop and host skill-building workshops and trainings for local volunteers to empower them as leaders in their own communities. Voter Contact & Field Execution Manage the execution of the field plan in your assigned region, ensuring that your team meets and exceeds its metrics-based goals for voter contact and volunteer engagement. Implement a wide range of grassroots field tactics, including canvassing, relational organizing, and phone banking, ensuring all activities are high-quality and effective. Stakeholder & Community Engagement Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key local stakeholders, including county party leaders, neighborhood team leaders, grassroots activists, candidates, and allied groups. Serve as a representative of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin in your region, working to build a strong, inclusive, and welcoming progressive presence. Team Management & Development During on-cycle periods, manage a team of Field Organizers, supporting their success through consistent coaching, feedback, and professional development. Foster an inclusive and engaging team culture rooted in our core values of respect, accountability, and teamwork, and, in partnership with your Deputy Director, assist with the hiring and onboarding of new team members. Preferred Qualifications: Multiple (2+) cycles of electoral organizing experience is highly valued. Prior experience managing or leading teams, projects, or volunteers in a campaign setting is strongly preferred. A proven track record of successfully recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers.
