We partner with clients to deliver smart, data‑driven solutions to complex environmental and infrastructure challenges, shaping a more sustainable future.What You’ll DoSupport project managers on construction review and material testing projects, including assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and proposalsPerform daily coordination with internal staff, clients, and construction personnelReview, understand, and interpret project plans and specifications, shop drawings, product data sheets, RFIs, and change ordersPerform scheduled tests, observations, and inspections in accordance with applicable test procedures and project requirementsPerform quality control review, field observation, testing, and sampling of construction materials, including soils, concrete, masonry, pavement, and steel constructionPerform Certified Construction Review (CCR) services related to routine review of erosion and sediment controls, and during the construction of stormwater management facilitiesPerform Resident Project Representative review and oversight of contractors on a variety of municipal and civil engineering and construction projects, including stormwater, water, and wastewater systems, street, sidewalk, and drainage improvementsCompletion of field documentation and reports in a timely manner, including job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, soil/concrete/asphalt datasheets, soil boring logs, tables, chain‑of‑custody forms, and other illustrations to document and summarize project dataOperation of various types of field equipment (e.g., GPS, data loggers, survey level, combustible gas meters, nuclear density gauge, etc.)Collect data through independent research and file reviewPerform basic computations and process data using computer software or other established methodsSafely operate and maintain company vehiclesWhat You BringBachelor’s degree from an ABET‑accredited institution in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline0 to 4 years of experience with construction observation, reporting, and consultationCertifications for testing and field review (preferred), including American Concrete Institute (ACI), International Code Council (ICC), American Portage Nuclear Gauge Association (APNGA), and OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPERPassing of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (preferred)Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distancesStrong communication skillsThe ability to interpret work plansMust have and maintain a valid Driver’s LicenseSalary Range65,000 – 70,000BenefitsFlexible Work EnvironmentPaid Parental LeaveMedicalDentalVisionLife and AD&D InsuranceShort‑Term and Long‑Term Disability401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
