As a Screener with Allied Universal in a government location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling designated areas. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with x‑ray screening, and staying visible to deter potential security incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while adhering to emergency response protocols as needed. Conduct security-related screening of individuals entering the location, following established guidelines to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the security-related needs of the location. Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities and any incidents that occur during the shift. Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or law enforcement as required by site protocols. Remain alert and attentive while monitoring entry points, ensuring all persons comply with access requirements. Minimum Requirements At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. At least one year of security-related experience. Proof of high school diploma or GED. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. X‑ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
