You won’t operate from a traditional teaching model—you’ll function as a learning coach who guides young students through personalized educational pathways. Our approach centers on the 2-Hour Learning program, which uses AI-powered adaptive technology to tailor instruction to individual student needs. While students interact with advanced educational software, they also receive direct, hands‑on support in reading and writing from educators trained in evidence-based methodologies. This integration ensures that K-2 learners build strong academic foundations while developing critical social and emotional skills under your guidance. What You Will Be Doing Guide students in setting personal learning objectives and working toward them, cultivating self-directed learning habits. Deliver focused instruction in foundational literacy and social-emotional competencies, working alongside Reading Specialists. Create a classroom culture that supports curiosity and persistence through engaging, experiential learning activities. Integrate AI-driven educational tools into daily instruction to improve learning outcomes and prepare students for technology-enhanced education. Partner with fellow educators and support staff to address each student’s distinct learning requirements and adapt instructional approaches accordingly. What You Won’t Be Doing 🚫 Teaching exclusively through conventional methods without incorporating innovative educational technologies. 🚫 Applying standardized instructional approaches—at Alpha, we prioritize and support individualized learning experiences. 🚫 Focusing only on academic content while neglecting the critical role of social and emotional growth. Reading Interventionist Key Responsibilities Lead the cultivation of independent learning capabilities and essential life skills in Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, establishing a foundation for long-term academic achievement and personal development. Basic Requirements Available to work on-site at one of these locations: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Tampa, FL; or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience working with children ages 4 - 8 in educational, afterschool, athletic, or comparable environments. Demonstrated ability to apply growth mindset principles and high-performance coaching methods successfully. Eager to utilize AI and additional technologies within educational contexts. Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Nice-to-have Requirements The following qualifications strengthen your candidacy, but you should apply if you meet the requirements listed above: Degree or credential in early childhood education, child development, reading intervention, or related discipline. Professional certifications or specialized training in early childhood pedagogies including CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia approaches. Background as a K-2 classroom teacher, literacy coach, or reading specialist with formal preparation or ongoing professional learning in phonics and reading instruction frameworks.
