Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine issues such as fuel system malfunctions, electrical problems, and cooling system failures.
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve automotive and engine-related problems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on diesel engines and vehicles.
Skills:
- Proficiency in working with Detroit engines.
- Experience with tractor-trailers and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Ability to interact with with customers and drivers on vehicle issues and diagnosis
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques.
- Familiarity with automotive repair principles and practices.
- Ability to perform automotive diagnostics accurately.
- Skilled in vehicle maintenance tasks such as, OFL, DOT, brake adjustments and tire changes.
- Capable of handling heavy lifting tasks related to engine components.
- Knowledge of shocks and struts replacement procedures.
