We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Estimator to join our clients dynamic team, specializing in multifamily construction projects in Central Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimating, a strong understanding of multifamily development, and a passion for delivering quality projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Estimation:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for multifamily projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
  • Conduct take-offs and quantify materials and labor requirements.


Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and constraints.


Market Research:

  • Stay current with market trends, material prices, and labor costs in the Central Florida area.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.


Bid Management:

  • Oversee the bid process, ensuring timely submission of proposals and adherence to deadlines.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness.


Cost Control:

  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.


Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on estimates, budgets, and cost projections to stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and relevant project documentation.


Mentorship and Leadership:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the estimating team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in estimating for multifamily construction projects.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Sage Estimating, ProEst).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
