External: External applicants will be considered on the sixth (6) business day of the posting period.Note: Posting details and candidate questions reflect the university posting system and related requirements.Primary PurposeReporting to the Associate Dean for Advancement, this role supports the play a key role in strengthening relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of the Dugoni School, helping to secure philanthropic support to advance its mission of excellence in dental education, research, and patient care, and its purpose of helping people lead healthy lives.University of the Pacific emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion as foundational to success for students and employees.We prioritize policy and decision-making that demonstrates awareness of, and responsiveness to, sociocultural forces related to race, gender, ability, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and related factors that impact students, faculty, and staff.Essential FunctionsDonor Cultivation & SolicitationManage a portfolio of approximately 100–125 prospective donors with giving capacity of $25,000+.Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors.Conduct at least 120 meaningful donor contacts annually to build relationships and solicit support.Lead class reunion fundraising efforts, including reunion committee formation and volunteer management.Strategy & EngagementDevelop customized solicitation strategies for assigned prospects to meet fundraising goals.Plan and execute donor engagement activities, including events, campus visits, and stewardship efforts.Partner with faculty, senior administrators, and advancement colleagues to develop cases for support and proposals.Reporting & Data ManagementMaintain accurate donor activity records in the CRM (RE NXT).Prepare contact reports, gift documentation, and proposal materials as needed.Other DutiesPerform all other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean, Development.QualificationsKnowledge Of: General principles of fundraising, donor cultivation, stewardship; major gifts fundraising strategies and donor lifecycle management; CRM systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge); communications strategies, proposal writing, and donor correspondence.Experience: Minimum of 3 years in fundraising, alumni relations, development, sales, or related field.Education: Bachelor’s degree.Working ConditionsFull-time, eight hours per day, five days per week.Must be available for evening and weekend hours as needed.Approximately 50% travel to off-site locations.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge Of: Tax implications of charitable giving; philanthropic giving trends and basic gift planning principles.Abilities: Work with board/volunteer committees; engage with high-net-worth individuals; comfort with gift solicitation; build and maintain donor relationships; communicate persuasively; use data/tools for fundraising; manage multiple priorities; work independently and as part of a team; maintain confidentiality and discretion.Experience: 2–4 years in fundraising or related field; experience in higher education, healthcare, or nonprofit; Master’s degree.Other: Experience working with diverse backgrounds; commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion; ability to apply culturally responsive practices.Physical RequirementsOffice/administrative work with computer, keyboard, mouse, and phone.Sitting for long periods; occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching; lifting up to 20 pounds.Compensation & BenefitsHiring Range: $89,309.07 - $101,802.61 per year.
