We are currently seeking a talented Sr Programmer to join our growing team This person will be responsible for defining software requirements, designing and developing applications, and working with structured programming languages such as C++ or C, as well as relational database management systems. This role includes defining software requirements, designing applications, and working with third- and fourth-generation programming languages, as well as relational database management systems. As a Senior Programmer, you will provide technical leadership, oversee project execution, and may supervise junior programmers or research assistants. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in applications programming and systems analysis for database and software development and maintenance Define software requirements and design solutions in collaboration with stakeholders Develop and maintain software applications using structured programming languages such as C++ or C and related tools Work with relational database management systems to ensure efficient data handling and processing Supervise and mentor programmers or research assistants, ensuring project goals and deadlines are met Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve software and database performance issues Stay current with the latest programming tools and methodologies to enhance system efficiency and scalability Basic Qualifications: Education: Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline Education Substitution: An advanced degree in a related field with at least two (2) years of relevant experience is acceptable Experience: At least five (5) years of work experience in computer programming; proficiency in structured programming languages such as C++ or C and relational database management systems Preferred Qualifications: Strong technical expertise in software design, development, and maintenance Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members Proficiency in third- and fourth-generation programming languages Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders and team members Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and industry best practices Benefits: Flexible Work Schedule Paid Time Off Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Cloudshape will contribute to 401K plans without any employee contributions Profit Sharing Life Insurance and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Training Assistance Employee Referral Program Cloudshape is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer, making decisions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, or any other protected class.
