Diagnostic Radiologist - RUHS The radiology department at Riverside University Health System (RUHS) has an opening for a diagnostic radiologist. This position is available within the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Radiology affiliation with Riverside University Health System. Located in the heart of Southern California in the Inland Empire, the hospital is conveniently halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, within an hour of surfing, camping, skiing, or visiting Los Angeles. There are six major airports within an hour's drive. The ideal candidate would be interested in a mix of imaging studies; mammography is optional. A radiology residency with an integrated clinical year began in July 2022. In addition to radiology resident teaching, there are quarterly lectures to family and internal medicine residents. Responsibilities include participation in ongoing quality improvement and scholarly activity. The department is rapidly expanding to meet the needs of patients with over 200,000 imaging examinations per year and ongoing installation of new equipment. The candidate will provide a proportion of the full-time base of 13 weeks of call coverage for fluoroscopic studies, weekend film reading from home and share of holiday coverage with the team. Currently coverage includes an average 1‑2 shifts per week from home with hours 7 am – 4 pm or 11 am – 8 pm and the remainder on site from 8 am – 5 pm. There is no scheduled work after 8 pm or before 7 am. Backup coverage is available whenever required. RUHS is a 439‑bed university‑affiliated teaching hospital with over 60 hospital‑based primary and specialty care clinics located throughout Riverside county. Residents in all specialties, medical students, and critical care fellowships rotate through our site. The facility has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, is a Level I Trauma Center, has a New Center of Excellence for Research, and is a Primary Stroke Center. Compensation & Benefits The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $500,000–$550,000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans.
