Facility in Newport News, VA seeking GI locums coverage Rates - $3000/day plus $450/hr call back Job Overview:
  • Start Date: Open (immediate need due to provider medical leave).
  • Practice Setting: Acute care community hospital.
  • Clinical Focus: Inpatient consults for adult patients in gastroenterology.
Key Details:
  • Call Ratio: All.
  • Average Patient Volume:
    • Hospital-Based Patients: 5-10 per day.
  • Support: Solo practice.
  • EMR: Epic.
Required Procedures:
  • Lower GI Endoscopy: Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS).
  • Upper GI Endoscopy:
    • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Endoscopy.
    • Endoscopy with Biopsy, PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy).
    • Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser).
Requirements:
  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology: Required.
  • Active Virginia License: Required.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS (Required).
  • Experience: Proficiency in listed procedures.
