Expert Connect Program Director Position Summary: UK Innovate seeks a Program Director and R&D Partnerships Manager for the College of Engineering. The role sets vision and strategy for the Expert Connect program, streamlines service agreements, actively develops new sponsored project and service pipelines, and collaborates across the university to promote research and innovation. Responsibilities Set vision and strategy for the Expert Connect program and enforce streamlined processes for service agreements and industry recruitment. Manage R&D Partnerships for the College of Engineering, engaging industry, community, and state stakeholders to develop research‑driven collaborations. Increase visibility of CoE research resources through conferences, events, technology showcases, and outreach to attract corporate partners. Support scoping and budgeting for industry‑faculty projects, ensuring compliance with NDAs, MTAs, DUAs, and other agreements. Collaborate with Technology Commercialization and Legal teams to maintain templated agreements and identify commercialization opportunities. Ensure project execution, closeout, documentation, payment processing, and compliance, and route licenses through commercialization pipelines. Advance innovation‑based economic development initiatives by promoting CoE research and lab capabilities aligned with state priorities, supporting SBIR/STTR partnerships, and engaging with economic development organizations. No supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS). Experience: 7 years in a related role.
