Job Responsibilities:
Direct and manage sales and business development operations, generate new accounts and maintain current ones, drive market competitiveness, improve distribution/channel strategy, as well as complete the following tasks:
Key Job Responsibilities:
Maintain current knowledge of market trends, and drive the development of sales promotions, initiatives, and strategies to align with said trends.
Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities, such as training and incentive programs, for employees in your region.
Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity, and advise the executive team on short-term and long-term objectives, policies, and actions.
Work with the Marketing Administrator, Director of Purchasing, and Vice President of Sales to develop, establish, and implement channel and distribution strategies and programs.
Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding TPH’s customer base.
Drive local brand awareness through various means (events, advertisements, materials, etc.)
Develop relationships/networks with local spheres of influence.
Develop a strategy and process for attaining business from prospective clients while cultivating an ongoing client roster.
Oversee the hiring and training of employees in your region.
Host regular meetings with employees; discuss performance and adherence to company goals and policies.
Lead efforts to maintain security and safety procedures for regional employees.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. At least 7 years of automotive aftermarket experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management position.
Advanced knowledge of economics and sales principles and practices. Must have outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Must be able to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
Some travel will be required, including visiting all areas of your district, as well as attending meetings and training in the corporate office. Additional travel opportunities may arise.
Must have basic computer, internet and emailing skills, knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of SOE and Universe systems.
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Physical Demands:
To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time. The occasional heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
