Position Overview Full‑time hybrid role for a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney based in Walnut Creek, CA, with flexibility for some work‑from‑home arrangements. The position involves handling Workers’ Compensation cases from inception to resolution, including drafting legal documents, attending depositions, conducting trials, and maintaining regular communication with clients and insurance carriers. Responsibilities The attorney will analyze and manage case files effectively while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, draft and file pleadings, negotiate settlements, represent clients in hearings and trials, and provide timely updates to clients and insurance carriers. Qualifications Experience in claims handling, claims management, and insurance Knowledge of employee benefits and Workers’ Compensation systems Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on client communication Ability to handle cases independently, demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills, and manage time efficiently Membership in the California State Bar in good standing required Familiarity with cloud‑based legal technology is a plus Prior experience with serious and willful misconduct or labor code section 132a discrimination claims preferred Seniority Level Entry level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Human Resources Industries Law Practice #J-18808-Ljbffr
