Job Description
Job Title: RN - Acute Care Float - Nights

Job Specialty: Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night - 3x12 - 7pm - 7am (36 Hours)

Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Experience: Less than 1 year; completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with the requisite clinical hours required. Direct patient care experience preferred.

License: Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS - Instructor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.

Must-Have:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Graduate of accredited/approved school of nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies decisively, composed, and respectfully.
- Excellent time management skills, evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic computer skills.

Job Description:

- As a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, ensure patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care.
- Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care using evidence-based practice.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care tailored to population-specific characteristics.
- Coordinate care in partnership with patients and significant others, ensuring timely communication and making patient goals the focus of the care plan.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards and engage in teamwork and collaboration for patient care delivery.
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and support recruitment and retention of team members.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and promote the inter/intra-disciplinary process while engaging in shared governance.
- Complete professional competency assessments and mandatory education requirements.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce and create a healthy work environment.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
- Uphold all policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Proactively plan for patient care across the continuum and participate in protocol development for best practice outcomes.
- Support efficient use of resources and perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all organization policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
