Director, Compliance

Compliance & Ethics (C&E) is seeking a Director who will lead key initiatives within the Compliance Governance (CGOV) team to enhance the governance and oversight of the Compliance Management Program (CMP). The successful candidate will be self‑starting, collaborative, and able to link CMP elements to regulatory environments, business practices, and customer needs. They must deliver results amid changing conditions, move from ambiguity to grounded recommendations, provide strategic and tactical guidance, and influence partners across the organization. Specific Responsibilities (key duties) Design and deliver initiatives that enhance the existing Compliance Management Program. Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., General Compliance Advisory & Testing, Enterprise Risk Management, audit, business risk offices, front‑line process owners) to improve governance practices. Leverage data and analytics to inform outcomes and proactively identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to accomplish shared objectives. Anticipate, identify, and escalate problems early and propose potential mitigations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience. At least 8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or audit. At least 5 years of process, product, project, or program management experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or Juris Doctor. Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP). More than 7 years of experience in financial services. More than 2 years of people‑management experience. Salary Ranges (full‑time) Chicago, IL: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Compliance McLean, VA: $200,100 - $228,400 for Director, Compliance Richmond, VA: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Compliance Riverwoods, IL: $181,800 - $207,500 for Director, Compliance This role is eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
