Innovative Talent Acquisition Lead | Specializing in Recruitment Excellence Hi There, I am Mahmood Bafana – Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with Technogenic, we are looking to hire a Talented Professional with below skill set to work with one of our clients and came across your profile and wondering if you might be interested or exploring the job market, if so, please share your resume at Bafana.m@technogeninc.com Location: Baltimore Maryland (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Required skills: VMWare (if candidates are strong in VMware, they will likely be able to pick up Nutanix) VSphere Nutanix (candidates need to have a deep understanding) Window servers, active directory experience Understanding of virtual desktop infostructure - building, setup and configuring hardware Duties and Responsibilities: Create, manage and support Windows Servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs Configure and implement VMware ESXi hosts and Nutanix clusters, ensuring the proper setup and integration of storage, networking, and compute resources to support a reliable and efficient virtualized infrastructure Monitor system health and performance metrics on VMware and Nutanix clusters, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively address issues to maintain optimal functionality and reliability Track resource utilization on both VMware and Nutanix clusters to detect potential capacity constraints and address them proactively Offer technical support to users and IT teams on VMware and Nutanix technologies, addressing questions, resolving issues, and assisting with system operations Manage enterprise storage solutions, including Nutanix Files and Synology, to support business operations. Deploy software patches to Windows Servers and Workstations, using primarily SCCM and staging orchestration to minimize down time as much as possible. Work closely with the MDOT Network Operations Center (NOC), cybersecurity, and desktop support teams to resolve incidents in an efficient and timely manner Manage ticketing systems, ensuring prompt responses and resolution of services requests. Support print server administration, ensuring seamless printer deployment and troubleshooting Maintain Veeam Backup and replication, conducting consistent testing and validation of backup and disaster recovery procedures to confirm readiness for potential incidents Qualification Requirements 5+ years of experience providing support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution. Have a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and server administration Proficiency with Windows and Linux Servers, including Active Directory (AD), GPOs, DNS, and DHCP. Deep understanding of VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, VSphere) and Horizon VDI administration Strong knowledge of backup solutions, particularly Veeam Backup & Replication Experience managing Synology NAS and enterprise storage environments. Familiarity with SCCM for endpoint management, software deployments, and patching. Understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, routing and firewalls.
