Busser/Food Runner - Maderas Golf Club

Job Summary:

A busser/food runner supports the dining experience by clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, and ensuring a clean and organized dining area for guests and responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables quickly and accurately, ensuring dishes are presented according to restaurant standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Essential Functions:
  • Assure that all material used by the server is clean and ready for daily operation.
  • Organize the plates in the window and match each one with each ticket to run the food out to the tables.
  • Set tables in accordance with Maderas Golf Club standards.
  • Ensure that each menu item is prepared in the exact detail outlined on each ticket.
  • Correct the menu item with the chef before delivering the menu item if it does not meet the exact specification on the ticket.
  • Fill and re-fills water glasses and removes any place settings not being used.
  • Clear dishes located in front of guest upon completion of course.
  • Clear and resets tables when guests leave, to include but not limited to: changes tablecloth, brushes chair, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkins.
  • Keep workstations well stocked of items and ingredients.
  • Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Efficiency, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of a restaurant.

Environmental/Noise:
  • Noise level is moderate.
  • May be required to work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment.
