RN Staff Educator & Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) Instructor
Highland Manor is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Staff Educator and Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor to join our team. This role combines clinical expertise, leadership, and teaching skills to educate and develop our nursing staff and C.N.A students. The RN Staff Educator/C.N.A Instructor will design, coordinate, and implement education and training programs to ensure that all nursing staff members meet the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Education & Training
- Develop and deliver in-service education and training programs for nursing staff, including C.N.A, LPN, and RN teams.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and procedures to ensure staff members are equipped with up-to-date skills and competencies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
C.N.A Program Instruction
- Design, implement, and teach the Certified Nursing Assistant program in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Create lesson plans and deliver instruction in both classroom and clinical settings.
- Supervise and mentor C.N.A students during clinical rotations, providing feedback and guidance to prepare them for successful careers.
Policy & Compliance
- Ensure training programs meet the regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all educational activities, training sessions, and student progress.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with the nursing management team to assess training needs and implement strategic learning initiatives.
- Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, fostering a culture of professional development and continuous learning.
- Act as a liaison between the facility and educational institutions when needed.
Clinical Support
- Assist with clinical duties as needed, providing direct patient care and supporting the nursing staff during high-demand periods.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or acute care settings.
- Previous experience in teaching or staff development, with knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Certification in C.N.A instruction or willingness to obtain certification as required by state guidelines.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to changing educational needs.
- Proficient in using technology and digital platforms for training and record-keeping.
