Join to apply for the Full Stack Engineer role at HHAeXchange HHAeXchange is the leading technology platform for home and community-based care. Founded in 2008, HHAeXchange was born out of an idea to create an end-to-end homecare solution to help people who are aging or have disabilities thrive in their homes and communities. Our employees are passionate about transforming the healthcare space by building the only homecare ecosystem that fully connects patients, caregivers, home care provider agencies, and payers. We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who’s eager to grow fast, think big, and build products that make a difference, improving the experience of thousands of caregivers and families. You’ll work across the full stack — from intuitive frontends to scalable backend services — diving into modern technologies like Angular, Go, PostgreSQL, and GenAI tooling. This role is a launchpad for ambitious builders who thrive on solving complex challenges alongside a talented team of experienced engineers. If you're early in your career and driven to excel, this is your chance to ship code that changes lives, grow under inspiring mentors, and contribute to healthcare innovation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential Job Duties Build the Foundation for Scalability: Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of APIs and microservices that enable robust functionality and seamless integrations (such as HL7 and FHIR, fostering data flows that strengthen care ecosystems). Master Full Stack Development: Gain hands‑on expertise in frontend with Angular and backend with Go, while optimizing cloud infrastructure for efficient scaling. Integrate Gen AI Innovations: Incorporate generative AI into our agency management software, boosting usability and efficiency to create intuitive experiences that users love. Champion Creativity and Growth: Encourage exploration of new technologies, tools, and approaches to continually enhance our platform for better user outcomes. Guide Strategic Decisions: Evaluate priorities, options, and tradeoffs to inform key development choices that advance our goals. Collaborate with a Passionate Team of Peers: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, align on objectives, and deliver features that exceed expectations. Ensure Lasting Quality: Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to uphold high standards of software reliability. This Role Is a Good Fit For You Love a challenge and want to learn fast by doing real work. Want to be mentored by lead engineers who care about your growth. Are excited to touch every layer of the stack and see how software fits together end‑to‑end. Believe that technology can and should make healthcare better. Have a bias toward ownership, creativity, and seeing results. Thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where no two days are quite the same. Want the energy of a startup with the stability of a proven company. Other Job Duties Other duties as assigned by supervisor or HHAeXchange leader. Travel Requirements Travel 5‑10%, including overnight travel, domestic & abroad (US and other delivery locations). Required Education, Experience, Certifications And Skills 0‑4 years of experience in software engineering roles building on modern architectures and frameworks. Proficiency in one reactive JavaScript framework, such as Angular, React, or Vue. Experience with backend-development, such as Go, NodeJS, or Python. Experience in PostgreSQL/MongoDB. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Flexible, team player. Ability to organize and plan work independently. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence is a plus. Healthcare experience and familiarity with HL7 and FHIR interoperability standards is a plus. Willingness to explore and adopt AI tools responsibly to enhance productivity and innovation in your role. The base salary range for this US-based, full‑time, and exempt position is $100,000‑140,000/yr not including variable compensation. An employee’s exact starting salary will be based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, merit, location, and the ability to exemplify the HHAeXchange core values. This is a benefits‑eligible position. HHAeXchange offers competitive health plans, paid time‑off, company paid holidays, 401K retirement program with a Company elected match, including other company sponsored programs.
