ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER NEEDED | ONSITE OR HYBRID (see work details) | BASED IN LOUISVILLE, KY Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who will be responsible for assisting in directing, coordinating, and exercising functional authority for the design, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects. The role involves analyzing engineering schematics, specifications, and related data to determine design factors, while producing accurate electrical device and panel layouts. The engineer will also ensure designs comply with engineering specifications, company standards, and customer contract requirements. Responsibilities Assist in analyzing engineering schematics, specifications, and related data to determine design factors. Produce accurate and thoroughly self-verified electrical device and panel layouts, motor, control, I/O schematics, and bill of materials. Review design for compliance with engineering specs, company standards, and customer contract requirements. Provide project support to field engineers, project managers, purchasing, and panel fabricators. Use computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs. Design and develop layouts for electrical circuits or systems for power distribution. Assist in the production of detailed schematics. Interface with customers to provide installation and commissioning support and design modifications. Essential Skills Proficiency in Electrical Design and AutoCAD. Experience with control system and control panel design. Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI graphics, UL508a, and NEC standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Basic knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes such as UL508a, NEC, and NFPA 70e. Understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures related to design. Work Environment This position is based in an onsite office environment with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM. Opportunities exist to explore markets in cities such as Cincinnati, Atlanta, and Dallas, with the ability to visit the main office once a month. Job Type & Location This is based out of Louisville, Kentucky - Candidate's residing outside of Louisville will be asked to either relocate or consider traveling to our client's facility in Louisville for 1 week each month to work onsite. This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
