HousekeeperThe Housekeeper role is an exciting opportunity for a highly rewarding career in a fast-paced environment. The Housekeeper for Ambriant at Avondale is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the community. They will perform the assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and appealing environment for residents and visitors.Responsibilities:Completes housekeeping tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, including mirrors and cabinet exteriors, cleaning kitchen surfaces, trash removal, and dusting in residential unitsResponsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of common spaces within the community including but not limited to vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, sanitizing, cleaning windows etcPerforms the daily, weekly, and monthly schedule of housekeeping tasks and completes any additional duties as assignedOperates and properly uses community cleaning equipmentEnsures items such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. are stocked throughout the community. Ensures housekeeping cart is stocked with supplies and provides inventory of supplies to supervisorAssists with laundry duties as assignedSafely disposes of community trash and wasteMaintains the policies and procedures of the housekeeping departmentAlways maintains a positive attitude and effectively communicates with other staff and residentsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Effective communication skillsAbility to prioritize the timely completion of multiple assignmentsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust be at least 18 years of age or olderMust be able to pass a criminal background checkBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceOur number one priority is our Residents. The highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation is to be maintained at all times.Minimum eligibility requirementsOne year related experience in a similar environment with on-the-job training preferredMust be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the jobAbility to remain calm under stressful situationsMust demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individualMust be honest, fair, and dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others and local, state, and federal lawsMust have compassion for and desire to work with the elderlyMust meet all health requirementsMust pass a criminal background checkMust be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodationEssential functions:Follow cleaning schedule and instructions as directed by supervisor, including residential homes and public areasSweep and vacuum all assigned areasClean and/or polish all room furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and heating/air conditioning units in resident rooms and all public areasClean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizingClean all community showers, toilets, sinks, countertops, and baseboards, and stock with paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and shampooClean and check model rooms and work in concert with the maintenance to ensure that all incoming residents' homes are cleaned and ready for move-inClean all hallways, stairways, etc., as necessaryClean employee break area when necessaryEmpty trash in offices and public areasReport to the supervisor any unsafe/hazardous conditions within the Community and any needed repairs to housekeeping or other facility equipmentKeep janitor closets and housekeeping supply rooms clean and orderlyOther duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary and appropriate by the supervisorCustomer service:Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customersPerform job duties for residents and team members in a courteous and professional mannerTaking initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priorityMeet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors, and regulators)Communicate professionally and cooperate with the supervisor and all community personnelResidents' rights:Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rightsOther:Follow & communicate company policies and proceduresThe job description provides a framework for the job; other duties may be assigned as necessaryWorking conditions (travel, hours, environment):Scheduled hours; possible overtime.
