Summary of Position:

Will provide efficient delivery of food between Kitchen and Servers to Guests, set up and clean up to tables, polishing silverware.

Qualifications
  • One (1) + years experience as a bus person or food runner in a fine dining restaurant
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending in the English language
Essential Duties
  • Polishing of silverware, folding napkins, replenishing of bread and butter
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon arrival/seating
  • As requested, fills glasses with ice water while guests decide upon order; answers questions and suggests menu items
  • Assists servers in their tasks
  • Carry food trays to tables
  • Clears tables of soiled dishes and deliver to dish washing area
  • Sets tables with clean linen, napkins, silverware, glassware
  • Stocks server's station with supplies
  • Removes trash from bar, patio and other specified places after each serving period
  • Dusts chairs before and after meals
  • Replenishes ice bins and buckets
  • Assists Servers as a Food Runner in delivering food items to guests table
  • Assists Server/Bartender/Restaurant Manager if needed
  • Maintains tables, dining room and bus station in a clean and tidy manner
  • Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
  • Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
  • Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Restaurant Manager
  • Support all Quail Run Company Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure that all legal requirements are consistently adhered to

Skills/Performance Standards

Ability to be aware of and execute service needs to the guest during all phases of customer dining. Must have an outgoing, friendly personality, professional at all times.

Physical Demands

Frequent lifting and or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires walking, bending, lifting, carrying and standing during entire shift.
