You will lead complex technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative hardware solutions that delight our customers. You will also leverage AI tools and methodologies to enhance mechanical design processes and outcomes.ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design projects from concept through productionCreate and optimize 3D CAD models and mechanical assembliesDevelop detailed engineering drawings with proper GD&TSelect appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for product requirementsDesign for manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimizationConduct structural, thermal, and vibration analysesDevelop mechanical test plans and validate designs through prototypingTroubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issuesCollaborate with industrial design, electrical, and manufacturing teamsDocument designs, test results, and technical specificationsEvaluate new materials and manufacturing technologies for future productsManage relationships with external vendors and manufacturing partnersApply AI tools and techniques to optimize mechanical designs and processesCollaborate with data scientists to develop AI-driven solutions for mechanical engineering challengesAbout the teamThe Ring Accessories Hardware Development team creates the devices that millions of customers use every day. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market.
