About the job Automation Technician Job descriptionPosition: Automation TechnicianLocation: Waterloo, IASalary: $30-40/hourSummary: The Automation Technician supports the facility's electrical and controls infrastructure, implements new processes, and optimizes automation inventory.Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to electrical codes and perform electrical PMs.- Assist with control system start-up and commissioning.- Identify and repair critical facility electrical systems and programming problems.- Create and read ladder logic and flow diagrams.- Troubleshoot and support PLCs, HMIs/SCADA systems, communications, and databases.- Develop process control flow and piping and instrumentation diagrams.Requirements:- 2-year degree in Industrial Controls or Electrical related field.- All experience levels are welcome.- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and understanding of PLC, HMI, and electrical circuits.- Ability to work Night Shift and Rotating Schedule 7pm-7:30am.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayRotating shiftWork Location: In person
