Relocation Assistance: Up to $7,500 Sign‑on bonus: $7,000 (Paid 50% at hire and 50% at 6 months from start) About the Role The Clinician II will provide clinical services to clients in our outpatient mental health clinic, serving individuals with co‑occurring disorders. The Clinician will identify and utilize the client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences in completing assessments and developing individualized service plans. They will also provide group treatment services using evidence‑based practices as needed. What You’ll Do Client Care Provide individual, couples, and family therapy. Provide crisis intervention counseling, with referrals to ongoing mental health services when needed. Use case conferencing and the program team to coordinate and ensure client treatment plans are effective and appropriate. Engage external and internal service providers to meet clients’ needs. Provide group treatment using evidence‑based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive‑Behavioral Therapy, Relapse Prevention, Relational and Psychodynamic therapy). Participate in weekly clinical meetings to provide updates and assist in decision‑making related to treatment planning and implementation. Serve as a resource to the team on mental health‑related issues and assist in various program components. Other duties as assigned. Administrative Ensure adherence to program treatment philosophies and policies. Maintain client and program records in accordance with agency requirements and timelines. Assist with utilization management (assessment of appropriateness, effectiveness, and medical need). Work with the Billing Specialist to keep authorizations up to date and units unexpired. Assist with all reporting as required by supervisors. Attend all training and professional development opportunities as required. Attend mandatory weekly MDT meetings. Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Participate in weekly programmatic and clinical supervision. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree required in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field. Experience working with psychiatric, substance‑using, co‑occurring populations. Spanish fluency required. Familiarity with a strength‑based, trauma‑informed environment. Knowledge of appropriate community resources. Knowledge of issues affecting people with HIV/AIDS in recovery from substance use/alcoholism. Experience with individuals dealing with homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, and the criminal justice system. Experience in crisis management and intervention. Experience providing individual, family, and group interventions to the target population. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both as an effective team member and independently. Knowledge and practice of evidence‑based practices (e.g., CBT, relapse prevention, motivational interviewing), preferred. Ability to meet the physical and training requirements of the position.
