Team Overview The architecture group guides the design and implementation of technical strategies that support our rapidly scaling global business. You will collaborate across business, engineering, program, UX, strategy, and other disciplines to deliver industry‑leading technology solutions aligned with business objectives. The role is supported by a diverse Architecture Community of Practice that provides learning and governance resources for all architects. Core Responsibilities Develop detailed solution roadmaps for specific systems, projects, or applications. Partner with engineers and project managers to ensure implementation meets design expectations and architecture standards. Present solution options to project leadership with clear definitions of benefits and trade‑offs. Lead architecture design reviews and governance activities for assigned solutions. Act as a subject‑matter expert across product / platform areas, demonstrating knowledge of interdependent services on premises and in SaaS or cloud environments. Maintain component‑level roadmaps for assigned portfolios and ensure recommendations adhere to organizational architecture standards, patterns, and practices. Design and develop detailed architecture artifacts (logical, conceptual, integration diagrams) for assigned teams and projects. Qualifications BS / BA in a technology discipline or equivalent industry experience. 3–5 years of experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software systems, with substantial experience in cloud‑based services. Capable of designing systems that meet specific operational SLAs and can describe basic security and compliance aspects of cloud platform primitives and data integrations. Strong understanding of fraud detection and prevention strategies to safeguard transactions and customer trust. Hands‑on experience in payments systems and integrations that support secure and seamless financial operations. Knowledge of asset‑protection practices to mitigate risk and ensure compliance across retail environments. Proven expertise in AWS for deploying, scaling, and managing cloud‑native applications and infrastructure. Deep experience with services architecture, including RESTful APIs and microservices for scalable solutions. Strong focus on security best practices for data protection, identity management, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrated enterprise retail experience supporting large‑scale operations, merchandising, and omnichannel strategies. Hands‑on SaaS experience building, integrating, and scaling cloud‑based platforms and subscription services. Compensation and Benefits Package The typical hiring range for this position is $136,200 – $178,700 annually. Base pay is based on location and may vary with experience, skills, and internal equity.
