Job Purpose: Work in production factories and assembly lines and may have a specialized role in the manufacturing and assembly of an item. An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Summary of Essential Job Duties:
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
  • Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in shipping area.
  • Daily duties may require winding, tacking, decaling, sealing, paining, rolling, painting, drilling, ect.
  • Identifying any defective items and handling them according to established procedures.
  • Working with other members of the line or group in order to assemble products.
  • Inventories tools, parts and supplies; contacts material handelers if supplies are needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Skills/Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Good communication skills.
  • Physical fitness and strength to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Must have good organizational skills.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing or Production experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
