Under the supervision and assistance from our Facility Manager, you'll ensure our buildings are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for visitors and staff alike. Your responsibilities will include surveying and repairing mechanical systems, maintaining electrical and HVAC systems, performing manual repairs, and overseeing general upkeep.Look at what we have to offer

•Performs maintenance of electrical systems (eg. replace light bulbs and ballasts, etc.).
•Monitors and maintains HVAC and other systems and conducts repairs as necessary.
•Performs manual repairs when necessary (eg. fix locks and doors, etc.).
•Conducts general upkeep procedures (eg. building exterior and landscaping) and other tasks as assigned {eg. painting, carpentry, etc.).
•Supervises internal and external custodial team, including directing, assigning, and monitoring work.
•Collaborates with various NSHS teams to ensure buildings are visitor-friendly.
•Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to: helping other departments, participating in interdepartmental committees and working groups; participating in community outreach events.Requirements / QualificationsMinimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency. Preferred: Knowledge/Experience in the following fields are preferred: HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, Customer service.Other: This position requires travel. As such, the incumbent must be able to present a valid driver's license or another form of reliable transportation. Regular and reliable attendance is required.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, safety practices, and general maintenance processes and methods.
•Working knowledge of hand tools, and metering devices.
•Ability to interact personably with internal and external customers, including but not limited to staff, visitors, and venders.
•Problem solving ability - Abiliity to research, analize, troubleshoot problems.
•Adaptability - Ability to adapt to changing priorities, equipment, and technology.
•Time Management Skills - Ability to plan and prioritize projects and complete projects in a timely manner.
•Teamwork - Ability to recognize strengths in self and others and use them to achieve work goals.
